Natural treatment for hair and natural oil preparation.

Natural way to treat your hair.

Hi friends today's post will be related to natural hair treatment. I always wonder how people from past would have washed their hair without shampoo and conditioner but they had long hairs(read in many Tamil novels) and asked my elderly people. Then came up with simple homemade solutions for hair. Just wanted to share with you people so started texting...Read on....

In those days, people used to keep more oil to their hair. This helps in hair growth and reduce hair fall.As they keep oil daily the scalp binds the hair root strongly.

For hair wash they use green gram powder or arapu which they used as a substitute for shampoo. Instead of green gram powder they use shikakai also.

For conditioning hair they used dried hibiscus powder so that it leaves the hair soft. Along with this dried neem leaves powder can also be added.

Using fenugreek leaves hair smooth. For that soak hand full of fenugreek over night in water and grind it like a thick paste and apply on your hair and then go for hair bath.

Neem oil was applied to avoid lice in hair.

For long thick hair and to avoid premature white hair mehandi oil is used.

How to prepare mehandi oil?
Take mehandi leaves, add little water and make a thick paste. Then take a dry plastic cover or a plate and pour the paste. Then dry it in sunlight. Now paste would have turned into a thick solid. At last put those collected pieces  into a jar containing coconut oil. Leave it for a day to gel with oil and then start using mehandi oil.

Dried mehandi
Above image is the dried mehandi that you need to put in coconut oil.

The image is the mehandi oil which I prepared
in home. If you check the image you could see the dark green color of mehandi oil.

Hope those above said methods are simple and can be made ourself in home at lowest cost. Share your thoughts with me.

Note:
First apply few amount of mehandi oil and check whether that suits you and continue using it.
